Instrument Proficiency
Check (IPC)
Are you an instrument-rated pilot who hasn't
done the required approaches, holding patterns and navigational tracking
in the last 12 months? Are you concerned that you're not as proficient
as you used to be on instruments or that you might have developed
bad habits? Do you have the chance to fly often in instrument conditions?
Do the newer IFR-certified GPS units have you baffled?
If
you answered "yes" to any of theses questions, an Instrument Proficiency
Check with Top Gun is the answer. During your IPC, we'll review the
IFR regulations, preflight planning and the evaluation of weather
information. Then we'll do basic instrument flying, including unusual
attitude recovery and slow flight. Then it's on to holding patterns,
instrument departure procedures and instrument approaches. You'll
get plenty of simulated emergencies too, including partial panel approaches
and a lot of work on the GPS.
